Lottery machines in Québec will get an upgrade in the next few years, giving a more modern look for customers who also can play Québec online casino games.
International Game Technology (IGT) announced this week that it has reached an agreement to provide new lottery machines to Québec, extending an existing deal with Loto-Québec.
And on Friday, Light & Wonder announced its arrival in the Québec market, also reaching an agreement to provide Video Lottery Terminals to Loto-Québec.
Québec has a variety of gaming options. The province offers lottery, brick-and-mortar casinos plus Québec casino apps.
David Flinn, IGT’s Senior Vice President for sales in Canada, South and Central America, said in a company news release: "Winning the opportunity to deploy VLTs in Loto-Québec's current replacement cycle speaks to the trust that the Corporation puts in IGT and to the superior quality of our products and services.”
Light & Wonder also issued a release about its involvement in the province. That company’s CEO for Gaming, Siobhan Lane, said that the organization: “(Is) honored to bring our proven content and hardware to players in the province of Québec through this strategic agreement.”
According to the news release from IGT, the new lottery machines, called PeakDual 27 Video Lottery Terminals, will be installed throughout the province during a process that will take a couple of years. The machines will have two 27-inch high-definition monitors and a curved dual-screen display on a 13.3 digital player panel.
Some of the most popular Loto-Québec lottery games include The Wild Life 5 Line, Big City 5's and 7's Wild. There also will be new games introduced by IGT, including Cash Eruption – Temple of Fire, Samurai 888 Katsumi and 7's Wild Gold. The agreement for IGT to provide the new PeakDual 27 VLTs extends a long-standing agreement between the technology provider and the province.
As for Light & Wonder, its VLT games will include titles such as Life Of Luxury, Bier Haus, Monopoly Jackpot Station, Jackpot Party Keno, Win 1000, 88 Fortunes and Bonus Sevens Wild.
